Indian Muslims react in response to Indian rape case

(India) After the tragic rape case in India the other week, Indian Muslims have enacted laws in which to protect their females from men. So the panchayat in the town of Salumbar have decreed that girls are to be banned from:

• Using mobile phones
• Dancing
• Singing

They also have warned couples against falling in love, and that if they elope, they would be ostracized by the community and a fine of Rs 51,000 would be imposed on them.

I suppose anything in which to protect the modesty of the old men who claim to be carrying out the word of god can only be a good thing.
